The physicians, nurses, and other clinical personnel represent the backbone of ACS and the foundation upon which quality is built.  ACS requires all anesthesiologists to be board certified or in the process of becoming board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.  All certified registered nurse anesthetists are required to maintain their certification requirements set forth by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
